Traces of blood everywhere, Shamsa bursting in tears, and Khalaf screaming. What was going on? As i followed Khalaf's yells, i reached the source. Blood filled the ground, a kart's wheel on one side of the path, and Shamsa on the floor crying. It was too dark to see what was actually going on. I walked closer to Khalaf to find Hamdan's overall drenched in blood. I fell to the ground, felt so weak and didn't know how to react. I kept quiet and just stared at him. Drops of blood falling down from his head across his face, i wiped it off with the tips of my trembling fingers. Khalaf was yelling on the phone while telling the police to send an ambulance right away, "Yas Marina Circuit now!"Shamsa was on the floor crying, and Hamda was with Nayef trying to find a way to help. Hamdan wasn't moving, his head tilted on his shoulder, and his body very weak. Khalaf got up and said "I will kill whoever did this to him!" His face was red and filled with anger, he left the area to find the people responsible for this mess. I sat beside him and kept calling his name, and wiping his face from any blood. He opened his eyes for a second, and my heart stopped, he looked up at me and smiled then passed out. That was when i started crying.
The ambulance came and they quickly put him in and asked who wanted to go with him. At that same moment, Khalaf came running with a deep scratch across his cheek. "What happened?" Shamsa yelled with tears rolling down her cheeks. "I'll tell you later, meet me at the hospital" he replied. "Nayef, take my car and follow us" Khalaf said with a serious tone. We rode in his black land cruiser, and followed the ambulance. I was trembling, too scared to even think of what could possibly happen. The ride was very long, quiet, and the atmosphere was very tense and stressful. No one spoke all we did was follow the blue and red flashing lights of the ambulance. As soon as we reached the emergency section of the hospital. The nurses took Hamdan out of the ambulance and quickly pushed in a room. We sat infront of the room while Khalaf talked to a nurse about what happened. "Please help him" was the only sentence we heard him repeat constantly.
An hour passed and Hamdan was still in one of the emergency rooms. We were all very scared, Shamsa would randomly burst into tears pushing me to tears too. Khalaf broke the silence and told us what happened when he left. "I asked everyone in the karting area if they hit a kart by mistake, then i heard a group of guys laughing" Khalaf said. "I sneaked on them and then i heard them saying, we finally got him." "I heard one of them say, after all those years Hamdan is finally gone" he continued. "I faced them and started yelling and asking them why they did what they did then we started fighting." " I got punched on my face, kneed in my stomach, and knocked on the floor but i got up and couldn't hold myself" Khalaf said with anger in his voice. "The three of them ran away, but i took their car's plate number" "I swear to God i will bring the end of them" he yelled with a vein popping out from his muscly neck. "What's going to happen to Hamdan?" i questioned with a shivery voice. "God's with him" he replied with a cold tone.
Two hours passed, and no one came out of the room. Was it serious? What happened to him? No one was telling us anything! Nayef went to a store to get some food, cause it seemed like we were staying for a long time. "Girls you should go home it's getting late, what will your parents say?" Khalaf mentioned. "I should go home before my dad gets mad" Shamsa said in a low voice. "I'll drop you home come on, you need to rest" Khalaf said with a smile. "Hamda and Layla do you want me to drop you home too?" "Yea i need to go home too before my mum starts worrying about me" Hamda replied. "Okay let's go, what about you Layla?" Khalaf stated with concern. "I'll stay here with Nayef" I replied with tears in my eyes. Nayef came back, gave them their food, and sat next to me. "Nayef stay with her and if she needs anything get it for her, and i'll come in 30 minutes" Khalaf mentioned to Nayef. "Yea no need to ask" Nayef replied. "He's going to be okay, don't worry Layla" he said with a comforting smile. "How do you know that?" i asked while bursting into tears. A few minutes later the nurse came out with news for us. "Where is Mr. Khalaf? she said with a very serious face. I was trembling with fear. "He isn't here, but he'll be back in a few minutes" Nayef answered. "As soon as he comes back, tell him i have news for him about the patient" She replied. "Please tell us what happened, please, please" i begged. "Sorry Miss, Mr. Khalaf told me specifically not to inform you anything about the patient."

Today we had a school field trip to Yas Island Marina Circuit. Yas island is one of the newest and most modern islands in the UAE. It has all sorts of activities for all ages. There's a F1 theme park, with the fastest roller coaster in the world. Famous restaurants that sell the most delicious fast food, overlooking the racing circuit. Drifting, karting, racing, and lots of other exciting activities too. Our school planned all our grade to go to the theme park then we will be having dinner somewhere. We all met up in the school campus wearing sporty outfits. Shamsa in a Abaya, glittery Toms, and a Louis Vuitton bag. Layla in grey sweat pants, a Polo t-shirt, and simple blue Toms. Hamda in jeans, a loose pink shirt, and blue crochet Toms. We were all ready to have fun, but one question was going through our minds: were goum Khalaf coming?
Most of the students took the school bus to Yas, we went with Shamsa's driver. We turned on the music on the highest volume and sang the whole way. When we reached we all went with the students and teachers to the F1 theme park called Ferrari World. After getting the tickets, registering our names, and taking pictures we made our way to the rides. It seemed like goum Khalaf weren't coming after all. The first ride we rushed to was the Formula Rossa, which was the fastest ride in the world. Speeding at an immediate 240 km/h it was pretty fast. The queue was very long, but we managed to get special passes that allowed us into the vip section. Minutes later we were strapped in and ready to roll. Screaming throughout the ride, my hair flying everywhere, Shamsa's sheila flying off and our mouths wide open. It was such a thrill, loops throughout the whole ride, it was surely a good kick of adrenaline. At the heart of the theme park, inside the enormous crystal funnel, was the tower of speed. We al rode on it and enjoyed the rush. We spent the day riding all the rides more than once. Today was just perfect.
After some time we went to eat at Johnny Rockets, which was a burger based reasturant overlooking the circuit. The three of us sat on a separate table and ordered three #21's with fries and coke. After all those rides we were starving. While the food was in the making, we talked about all the rides and how people reacted. We were sitting outside on the balcony of the restaurant, which was the busiest area. Loud noises of cars and drifting sounds, it was such an exciting place filled with energy. We walked towards the edge of the balcony to see what was going on in the circuit. "Omg, let's go karting after we eat!" i suggested with joy. "Hell yea" agreed Hamda. So we decided to go karting after eating our dinner. Minutes later the food came, juicy burgers with melted cheese pouring from the sides of the burger. Fries so salty and crispy, and of course the sizzling coke. It was our favourite place to eat in, since it had the best burgers in town.
We walked to the karting area and registered ourselves and paid. We took our tickets and went to the class where they would tell people the rules about karting and the precautions. It took around 5 minutes then we headed to the changing room to wear the karting suit. It was a big grey overall with the Yas logo on it. As we walked out of the changing room we hear loud familiar laughs. Our eyes fell into theirs, it was goum Khalaf. "Hala walla" greeted us Khalaf. "Hello" we answered. "You girls are karting?" Nayef asked. "Yea, what about you guys?" Hamda questioned. "Yea, we'll all go together as a group okay?" Khalaf asked. "Sure" Shamsa replied. "We wanted to spend the day with you girls and not with the whole grade, that's why we decided to go to Yas, we went karting thinking that we might bump into you" "And you did" interrupted Shamsa with a smile. "I guess we're lucky" Khalaf replied. Hamdan came out of the changing room with the overall on, and the helmet on. Wow i thought, he even looked good in an old ugly overall. "Hey hey" he said with a big smile. "Hey" we all replied. "I was just thinking about you Layla" he said while removing the helmet slowly to let out his thick black hair. A shiver ran down my spine when he looked me in the eye. They called out Khalaf's name and we all went to sit on the karts. The men secured our helmets, gave us a few precautions, and started our kart's engines. We all flew off super fast racing with each other. We decided that the winner would get a special prize. We were having so much fun zooming fast past each other. Laughs on the side and plans on our mind. I was racing with Shamsa, Hamda was racing with Nayef, and Hamdan was racing with Khalaf. Moments later i was racing with myself. No one was in sight. I stopped my kart slowly on the side to avoid conflicts for other racers. I saw blood prints on the path. I followed them out of curiosity, the closer i got to the source the more the blood and the fresher. I heard the sound of someone crying, blood all over the place and then i heard Khalaf screaming. "Hamdaaaaaaaaann!!!"

National day celebrations were taking place all over the UAE, in all the 7 emirates. People wearing all sorts of crazy hats, wigs, and scarfs. Flags everywhere on cars, buildings, malls, everywhere. People would have a special event called the Maseera. The Maseera is mainly all sorts of decorated cars blocking roads, making traffic, and driving their engines crazy. It was the only day where you can't go out without getting stuck in traffic. Men would go out of their unique cars to spray you with snow spray. Tv's on cars, bears, flags, pictures of the highnesses, and much more. Since it was the UAE national day, we got a 4 day holiday. Most people hated going to school, but we just loved it. The whole idea of being with your best friends in the same class, and having three of the hottest guys in school talk to you. Damn. Life was really bliss.
We had arabic, and we all sat in our places. Khalaf came in class as usual walking like a king, and Nayef followed him with his big hoodie. Hamdan didn't come to class yet, maybe he was absent i thought. As usual Nayef sat in the back corner, wrapped his hoodie into a pillow and slept. Khalaf was sitting leg over leg, then looked at Shamsa and smiled. Shamsa was sitting in front of me, Khalaf pulled his table and chair next to her. She kept moving away so people wouldn't judge. "What are you doing?" he said. "What are people going to say about us?" Shamsa said with a low voice. "Let them say whatever they want, and the more you move away the closer i'll come" he said with a smirk and a glow in his eyes. She giggled and started doodling on her book. He took out his pen and wrote "to the moon and back". No one knew what that meant, but somehow he did. "How was your holiday. Shamsa?" he asked. "I went to Sharjah, what about you?" she answered politely. "I went to Dubai, you know partying and sh*t" he stated with a sly smile. "Partying ha?" she grumbled. "Yea, there were lots of girls, ahh and after the party...." Khalaf laughed out. "Go back to your place!" Shamsa argued. "Hey hey whats wrong?" he said with a frown on his forehead. "Ohh now i get it, you're jealous" he said with his eyes wide open like an angelic child. "Shamsa" "Shamsa" "Shamsa" Khalaf called out. She ignored him. "If i have the world infront of me, why would i look at others?" he said while moving her chin to face him. She turned to face the teacher. "Shamsa come on, don't do this to me" "You look so cute when your mad at me" he laughed out. She hit him on his shoulder and yelled "don't ever go partying again, you know i hate it." "If you want my eyes i'll give them to you, anything for you" Khalaf said. Shamsa turned her head so he wouldn't see her blushing and couldn't stop smiling.
Where was Hamdan, i wondered. It's enough that i didn't see him for 4 days. I kept doodling on my book from boredom, i was never bored, he would always entertain me. I was lost in my thoughts, and kept thinking of scenarios that could've happened to him. Maybe he was kidnapped, no no maybe he forgot we had school, maybe he overslept. The class door opens and he barges in with a smile. He grabbed a chair and placed it next to me. "How are you?" he asked. I looked up to get lost in his dazzling eyes. His eyes were heaven to me. His eyes so big, mysterious and evil. His nose so perfect and long. His lips so tender hiding his pearly white teeth. He was the true definition of perfection. "Layla?" he interrupted me from my thoughts. "Hunh?" i managed to say. "How are you?" "I'm good, you?" i replied. "Missing you" Hamdan said with a smile. "I stole my dad's car to come to school, and they caught me" he laughed out. "I wanted to drive you home with it after school" he said. "Are you crazy?" i asked. "You made me crazy" he said while pocking my nose. The principle walks in class. The big bold man shouted "Hamdan come here!" "This guy's father has been calling him all day, and calling the school asking for him" he snapped to the teacher. "You stole your dad's car ha?" he pulled Hamdan from his shirt and took him out of class. Before he left he turned and smiled
After class, i went to the principle's office to check on Hamdan. The door was locked. I kept knocking and no one would answer. I lost hope and just walked out the administration. There he was carrying his Ed Hardy bag like a child. "What happened? i said while running to him. He laughed, ughh his laugh was so melodic until he broke out coughing from the amount of Midwakh he inhaled. "Nothing, im suspended for a day, and my dad's really mad." "Yalla i have to go and take the car back home, take care of yourself" he said with a comforting smile. Nothing seemed to worry him, nothing at all. Sometimes i wished i was more like him., careless and living life carefree.

I jumped out of bed with a big smile on my face. Today was the national day celebration in our school. I wore a long colorful cheetah printed Jalabiya. I had my hair in fresh curls, and blue eyeliner on to define my colored eyes. Cotton candy colored lipstick to match my pink nails. I sprayed myself with mystic oud from head to toe, and it left a trace everywhere i walked. I wore Gina slippers which sparkled from miles away. I made sure i looked perfect then left my house to meet Shamsa and Hamda at school. My phone rings and the name Shamsa appears on the screen, "Hello" i replied with excitement. "I reached school, where are you?" she said. "I'm 2 minutes away, can't wait!" i stated with joy. As soon as i reached school, i met up with Shamsa and she looked gorgeous. She was wearing a long black Abaya which was tight on the waist line to define her curvy shape. She had dark black kohl drawn on her eyes, red lipstick, and rosy cheeks. With her hair half showing and the rest covered with the sheila, she looked beautiful. YSL nude heels with a matching nude Prada purse was added to her dazzling Abaya. We kissed three times on one cheek, which is a traditional local way to greet females. Moments later Hamda ran towards us, wearing a black Abaya covered with lace imprinted designs. She wore shiny black Louboutins with a matching LV purse. She looked fabulous and super trendy. She had a hint of brown smokey eyeshadow on her lids, nude lipgloss, and wore a matching black sheila also covered with lace. I can't deny that we were going to be the day's gossip. After we all checked each other's appearances we had to go to class and show ourselves.
Walking through the school's campus, everyone's eyes seemed to be in our direction. You'd notice everyone whispering in other's ears and denying it with a smile. We didn't give a damn about what people thought, we wanted to have fun. The school was covered with decorations. UAE flags all over the poles, confetti on the ground, a tent in the center of the campus with two henna ladies sitting inside. Pictures of the highnesses all over the school, local music blasting through the massive speakers near the stage, and dancers practicing their parts. The bell rang for everyone to head to their classes but no one did because classes are usually cancelled in such events. We went to the canteen to check if all the foods were there. All types of salads, main dishes, deserts, and snacks were displayed in front of us but the Lgemaat, Machboos, and Threed weren't there. This only meant one thing, goum Khalaf still didn't come. We were praying to God that they would come, we didn't do all this for nothing. We didn't look this good for anyone. I was personally very irritated that Hamdan didn't come because he sent me a message on Facebook promising me that he would come, and he wasn't here yet.
It was recess and people were all over the place. Some were watching the dancers performing on stage, some were doing henna, some were eating, and some were just gossiping. Music was playing from artists like Rashid Al Majid, Hussein Al Jasmi, to Aitha Al Menhali. The dancers on stage were performing the cultural dance, which included guns. Tossing them between each other, and dancing along with them, it was amusing. We were just sitting on our bench waiting miserably for goum Khalaf to come. "Enough!" i snapped. "We have to have fun, even if they don't come" i continued. "Shamsa, he promised me he would come!" "God, i hate him!" "Such a bastard!" i yelled with anger. "Who's the bastard?" a voice behind me interrupted. A smile so wide and welcoming, eyes so big and angelic, lips so tender, and voice so melodic. Was this an angel that fell form the sky? "Hamdan, help me put the food in the canteen" Khalaf mentioned awakening me from my thoughts. Yes it was Hamdan, all the hate i felt for him had gone in a split second. We all went in the canteen to fix the food and put them in the food area on campus. The three were wearing Kandoras. Nayef was wearing a yellow Kandora with brown slippers, his face was cleanly shaved and he looked awake for the very first time. Khalaf was wearing a black Kandora with black Gucci slippers and had a neatly drawn beard. I couldn't help but notice how tight the Kandora was on his wide muscly back. Hamdan was wearing a white Kandora with black MBT sandals, a Hamdaniya on his head, and his special oud smell that conquered his presence. God they were perfect.
After recess, Nayef left home and Hamda went to class. Shamsa and i sat on a bench on campus, and just talked. Khalaf and Hamdan were going down the stairs to join us on the bench. Hamdan sat next to Shamsa and faced me, Khalaf sat next to me but facing Shamsa. Could this day get any better? Hamdan was staring at me and it was so awkward. The way he stared always made me blush and feel a swirl in my tummy. "You look staggering" he said with a smile. "Hamdan, do you even know what that means?" Khalaf interrupted. "Hahahha no i don't, but i heard it on TV once and thought i should say it" Hamdan said while laughing. What a cutie i thought. "I meant you look beautiful, and i love the blue you put on your eyes" he said. "Thank you" i said shyly. "Well someone's looking beautiful today" Khalaf said while glimpsing at Shamsa. She giggled shyly and covered her face to hide her pink face. "God, i adore this girl" he added. "Calm down, you're turning the girl red" Hamdan mentioned. This was truly a perfect day. "Layla i promised you i would come today, and i did even though i really wanted to sleep" Hamdan said slyly. "Why would i want to sleep and dream of you, when i can see you in person" he added. "Awww!" Shamsa spilled. Today was truly a day i will never forget.

Mrs. Kate was our english and one of our most boring teachers ever. She would always tell us about the day she met her husband and what he did. She would tell us about her random imaginary friends, weird i know. She would go on and on about what a trouble maker she was, and how everyone was scared of her. Shamsa and i would always laugh at her cause we knew all she ever said was a lie. Math and economics were always boring classes so we would always ditch them. As soon as the teacher came to class we would make up a lie and leave class. The secret behind us ditching was to meet up with goum Khalaf. They ditched every class they had except arabic. I wonder why...
We decided to ditch in the kindergarten area, where there were all kinds of playgrounds and toys. We sat down on different games and just talked. "Hey hey hey!" Khalaf yelled. What was he doing here we thought. "What are you doing here you naughty girls, go to class" he said with a smile with his dimples popping out. Shamsa smiled and said "Why are you out?" "Ughh class is too boring" he mentioned. Hamdan came out from the kids bathroom with smoke coming out of his mouth and slowly hiding the midwakh away in his pocket. He looked at me and smiled. "How are you?" he managed to say with smoke still coming out of his mouth. "I'm good, you?" i said shyly. "I'm always good if you're good" he stated. I smiled and hid my face in order for him not to see me blush. "You made the girl blush, Hamdan" Khalaf interrupted while laughing. We all laughed and then they sat down on different games. We kept talking and laughing and it all seemed to be going great. We heard the sound of keys getting louder and louder which meant someone was coming closer and closer. The sound of keys only meant one thing, the principle was coming! We all ran in different directions and managed to hide. "I know you're here Khalaf, come out" he yelled. No one replied. "Come out come out wherever you are, and don't play games with me!" the principle said firmly. Shamsa, Hamda and i were all hiding under the slide. Hamdan was in the kids bathroom, Khalaf was hiding behind the big building blocks, and Nayef was hiding behind the garbage. We tried our very best not to burst out laughing. We couldn't help it, we giggled and he heard us. "Ahhh there are girls here too" he said with an angry tone. "Come out now!" he shouted. He started walking towards us and we were panicking. "Sh*t he's going to catch us" i whispered to Shamsa. We heard his foot steps coming closer till he was literally a step away from us. It's over we were going to get caught. To hell with our weekends, detention everyday, and maybe suspension. He was slowly leaning down to see us, then suddenly Khalaf came out of his hiding spot. "You decided to come out finally, come with me, you're going home" the principle said. "Go get your bag and come to my office so i can call your parents to take you home, you will be suspended for a day". God, this was all our fault. As soon as they left, we all came out of our hiding places and decided to go to our classes. We were walking in different directions then Hamdan calls out my name "Layla!" I turned around, "yea?" "Bye" he said with a wide smile. I just laughed and said bye.
As we were heading up the stairs to go to class, we bumped into Khalaf and asked him what happened. "Nothing I'm suspended for the day, i can go home and sleep now" he said with a smile. He looked at Shamsa and said "Ay next time i don't want to see you outside class." "Why?" Shamsa asked. "Cause if you'll get caught you'll be suspended, then how will i see you?" Her face turned red, and she smiled. Nayef was behind us and asked about Khalaf too. "Khaloof, what class do we have now?" he said in a sleepy voice. We all started laughing. Nayef was really lost in his own world. "Eco" Khalaf replied still laughing. We all went back to our classes after that. Tomorrow was national day and we just couldn't wait !

Arabic was our all time favourite class because goum Khalaf were in our class. They always used to come to class late and when they did they'd bring life to the class. Nayef would grab the last seat in the class and prepare for his sleep. He used to crumple his jacket and make it a pillow, and kept moving till he sat perfectly comfortable. Khalaf would sit next to Hamdan in the row infront of Nayef and opposite us. Khalaf would walk into the class like he was royalty, like he ruled the class. He would sit down then put one leg on top of the other, cross his arms, and smile. Hamdan would walk into class leaving a smell of oud that conquered the class. His smell left traces everywhere around school. He would come to class everyday with something new, either new glasses, slippers, sandals, weird jackets, and more. So class started and we generally listened to our teacher explain random arabic stories. 10 minutes passed, Nayef was asleep, Khalaf was listening to music, and Hamdan was moving his seat closer and closer to me. He finally sat right next to me and just kept smiling. I would always look away and ignore him. What was his problem? i always thought. Hamdan took out a small pack of cherry mentos and gave it to me. "Layla" he whispered softly. As he came closer to me, a shiver ran through my spine. "This is my favourite sweet, and i want you to try it" he mentioned. I gave it back to him. He looked at me with confusion and insisted i take it. In order for me not to get in trouble with the teacher i agreed and thanked him. He kept smiling throughout class and doodling on a paper. Khalaf called Hamdan to sit next to him cause he wanted to tell him something. Shamsa was sitting next to me and she kept pinching me. "What's up with you?" i yelled. "Shhh! don't make it obvious!" she said. "Make what obvious?" i asked. "Layla, Khalaf is so hot i can't stop staring" she whispered. I giggled and caught Khalaf staring at her. I felt a strong connection between the two. The way he managed to stare at her from the conner of his eyes and the way he smiled when he saw her smiling. The bell rang and that was the end of our class, it was the only class we never wanted to end. Khalaf punched Nayef to wake him up from his beauty sleep. Hamdan passed by me, smiled with his perfect teeth showing and left. I don't know what it was about him that made me feel a tingle inside. Khalaf stared at Shamsa then kicked a chair out of his way and left class. Nayef finally woke up and managed to walk out of class with his eyes half open. Such a mess he was.
After school, we waited for Shamsa's driver to take us back to her house. Shamsa lived in a typical local neighbourhood filled with lavish villas. We took of our shoes before we entered her house as a sign of respect, then we ran to the kitchen to eat the family's best meal, Machboos. Their Machboos was to die for. After we ate, washed, and talked we decided to try on different Jalabiyas to wear on national day. Jalabiyas are traditional dresses that come in many designs and colors and mainly worn at home or when guests are visiting. We spent the evening playing Rashid Al Majid songs, trying on Jalabiyas and snacking on the side. National day was only two days away.

We had PE ( physical education) today and we hated it. We decided to ditch it and announce that national day would be on the 1st of December. Thankfully we had a free period in math. God, we hated math! The fact that we had to sit down and listen to our teacher go on and on and on about numbers and variables just bored us. Hamda loved math, she was the only one of us who used to enjoy it and never wanted to ditch. The three of us kept talking about what we were going to wear on national day. Shamsa was planning on making 300 cupcakes with the UAE flag on them. Her cupcakes were very well known around school. The fluffy yet moist colorful cupcakes she made with a creamy oreo topping were a burst of pleasure. People would literally fight for them, and would actually order boxes and pay her as much as she wished.
During recess our principle told us to go to goum Khalaf and ask them what they could get for national day. We were panicking, the questions going through our minds were endless. Should we go talk to them or not? Should we go to the bathroom and check how we look first? We decided to just go for it and calm down. As we walked towards their bench, they all stopped talking and faced us. "Look who's here!" Khalaf said with a smirk. "We need to know what you can get for the national day?" Shamsa stated with a hint of attitude. They all giggled. "Who said we're even going?" chuckled Khalaf. Then the principle interrupted and told them that since they are locals, they have to be present. They must also get decoration, and different local food. "So what will you be getting, Hamdan?" I managed to say with a low voice. "I'll get anything you wish for, Layla." Hamdan replied with a wide smile. Khalaf interrupted by saying he will be getting Machboos. Machboos is a well known Emirati dish that included rice, chicken/meat, and some vegetables. Hamda asked Nayef what he will be getting, and he replied by saying "Threed". Threed is a very old dish that was mainly made up of bread, meat/chicken, and the chicken/ meat's sauce. Finally Hamdan decided to get Lgemaat. Lgemaat are the local's favourite desert, they are handful balls of dough that are fried then topped up with Dibs (date sauce). We thanked them, smiled, then walked away with confidence. They seemed flattered, and so were we!

UAE's national day was very soon, we were all very excited. National day in school gave all students a chance to bring the local food, wear the local clothing, and watch the traditional dances. The clothing for men was Kandora and for women it was the Abaya. The Kandora was a long white cloth somehow like a dress, and the Abaya is a long black dress like full body covering that is worn with a Sheila.
We were the goum of the school from the girls, in other words the group. There was another goum which we called goum Khalaf. Goum Khalaf was made up of the 3 hottest and most popular guys in school. Khalaf was the leader of the goum and was the guy all girls found hot. He was tall, had bronze skin tone, and had a perfectly built body. His hair was a chocolate brown color with soft long curls that bounced with his every move. His lips were just irresistible, his walk, his confident strong personality were every girl's delight. Then there was Hamdan, who was the strangest yet funnest. He had perfect features, his big brown eyes with a hint of redness showed a little bit of evilness in him. His nose like a sword, big plumpy lips, and thick black bushy hair, didn't seem to attract any girls but his weirdness did. He had a special walk, he used to stroll around with a little jump after ever step. Last but not least there was Nayef. He was very thin and was definitely not attractive, but there was this mysterious thing about him that everyone wanted to know. He had super curly dark brown hair, with brown eyes, and surely had Arabian features. We really didn't know alot about him cause he always slept during classes.
As for our goum, we were made up of 3 girls. Shamsa, the leader was the girl everyone loved. She wore a sheila, which is a traditional islamic hair covering like a hijab. She had Arabian black eyes drawn with kohl, had a long straight nose, big filled lips, with dimples on one of her cheeks. She was a short girl who loved fashion, cupcakes, nail polish, make up and was super weird. Then there was Layla, the most open minded. She didn't wear a sheila, she had long brown hair. Big green eyes with a perfect nose, and a smile that took every guy's breath away. She was the tallest who was Shamsa's twin in personality. They had so much in common and even finished each other's sentences. Last there was Hamda, she was fully covered which meant she wore the hijab. She had beautiful hazel eyes, a small cute nose, and huge lips that were just hard to avoid looking at. Hamda was mid height and loved to shop, travel, and had a beautiful voice that enchanted everyone.
